From a skinny Swede to a buffed babe Annika’s determination to transform her body and her game have set her head and shoulders above her competitors. Annika has shaped her body and her game and has become the winningest golfer on the planet the last two years, making Tiger’s accomplishments pale by comparison.

Can anyone imagine a more spectacular way for Augusta National to answer the media and the critics than making such an historical invitation? If the Masters is the public forum that Burk and her cohorts seek to use to challenge Augusta National’s private membership policies why not use that same public forum to shatter the case of the adversaries. Invite Annika to play!

Augusta National, as a private club, is free, under the Constitution and the rights of free association and privacy, to maintain its status. But as a “public event” the Masters can and SHOULD destroy the speculation and open it’s field to a woman.

One thing for sure. Annika can stand the heat and she has both the distance and the determination to play. If anyone can make a proper showing at Augusta it’s Annika.

In a year where Susie Whaley will crack the gender barrier of the PGA Tour in playing at the Greater Hartford, Augusta inviting Annika would complete the “Year of the Woman” in professional golf.

If the LPGA thinks it’s product is underexposed and underappreciated it better get it’s media people prepped and ready. If Hootie does what he can and should, the media frenzy will commence.
